Act One

This is me now.

An immediate introduction to who I am today — what I'm learning, building, exploring, and the life I'm living right now.

Pete and Danielle standing together on lava rocks at a Maui beach, a sailboat on the water behind them

The person behind the work.

  • LearningAI and automation for systems engineering
  • BuildingSystems that make a mission-level impact
  • ExploringResearch, teaching, and what's next

Danielle & me

Engineer. Leader. Lifelong learner.

That's me.

Built on curiosity. Driven by people. Grounded in purpose.

Everything else is just details.

The turning point

I went back at 36.

Act Two

How I became this person.

The chapters that shaped me — career pivots, risk, service, and the moments that changed everything.

The twenties

Pizza, payroll & people.

My first lessons in leadership weren't in a textbook.

The detour that mattered

Running a healthcare company.

I helped run a business where getting operations right meant everything to the people depending on us.

Back to school at 36

The bet on myself.

I walked away from certainty to build a future I believed in.

United States Air Force.

Service. Systems. Responsibility. A different kind of mission.

2024 – today · Industry

L3Harris, then Northrop Grumman.

Systems effectiveness, then systems engineering, integration, and test — plus a 4.0 master's and a PMP along the way.

January 2027

Ph.D. in Systems Engineering.

Still learning. Still building. The next chapter is already in motion.

Act Three

The life around the work.

The moments, people, places, and passions that fuel me outside of work — and make me who I am.

Where I'm headed, what I'm focused on now, and the questions I'm chasing next.

The story isn't finished.

I'm still becoming who I'm meant to be.

Onward.

What I'm focused on

  • AI & automationapplied to real systems engineering work
  • MBSECameo Systems Modeler in daily practice
  • Mentoringhelping others grow their potential

What I'm learning

  • Research methodsasking better questions, on purpose
  • AI & ML foundationsdeepening the technical core
